🔵 Invested 🟢 Returns — by year
How SIP returns are calculated
Each monthly instalment is invested at the start of the month and compounds monthly at (expected annual return ÷ 12). This matches the formula FV = P × ((1 + i)n − 1) ÷ i × (1 + i) used by most fund houses. A lumpsum compounds annually: FV = P × (1 + r)years.
What is a step-up SIP?
A step-up (top-up) SIP raises your monthly instalment by a fixed percentage each year, usually in line with salary growth. Even a 10% yearly step-up can nearly double the final corpus over 20 years.
Returns from mutual funds are market-linked and not guaranteed. This calculator is for illustration only.
